Abercrombie Caves are located approximately one hour from Bathurst on the Trunkey Creek - Goulburn road.
Cave tours, camping, hiking to Mt Gray or the Grove Creek Falls, fossicking for semi-precious gemstones or gold, fishing (in season) and swimming.
This is also an ideal place for bird watching and photography.
Hot showers, laundry facilities and a kiosk (open every day)
are all available. On-site units and a cottage are available for hire.
The Archway is Abercrombie's most famous feature and the largest natural arch in the southern hemisphere.
It includes the historic Gold miners dance platform more than 120 years old - and it is still used today.
Other caves are - Grove Cave, King Solomon's Temple, Cathedral Cave and Bushranger's Cave - The Ribbon Gang hid in the caves more than 170 years ago, and their story is told on a guided tour of Bushranger's Cave.

Grove Creek runs through the heart of Abercrombie Caves and only a few kilometers away, downstream, it falls over a cliff face some 70 metres to the rocks below.
Apparently there are rainbow trout in the creek popular with anglers, in the trout-fishing season
