Oh yes, you were classy, all right.
There you were at the at the party, proudly
displaying your capacity to consume an humongous
mixture of drinks. And then came the hangover,
which put an end to your relationship with wine not
made from grapes - forever.
One sip of cool climate wines,
fermented from the fruit of the vine that matures
just oh
so late, and you may just rethink your showey off
policy.
For starters, they’re guaranteed to impress your
fancy-pants friends — the ones who actually swirl
and sniff before they guzzle. The label’s cabernet
merlot has blackberry, prune and fig on the nose,
persimmon and
dark caramel on the palate. The full-bodied busty
chardonnay cries out for seafood dishes, and the
passion fruit surprises with its lingering finish.
Too bad you weren't cluey enough at the partie de
danse, eh?
To think, you might’ve spent the night hugging your
date, rather than the toilet. This is why you
need to be at the

Australian National Field Days
Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th
October The Field Days are on at Borenore
about 15 km west of Orange. For anyone who hasn't
been there before, its not a couple of crusty old
farmers leaning on a fence discussing the lack of
rainfall.......its a whole bunch of 'em - and you
couldn't meet a mob of friendlier folk. Everyone says
g'day and the gals in the tuck shop will give you a
smile just for walking in the door. Apart from the
country folk there are huge displays, stalls, local
business promotions
demonstrations, refreshments available on site and
this year's field days will feature the culture of
India.

Michael &
Janelle Borg Well Done
M&J Butchery in Moulder St in Orange are
the winners of the NSW/ACT Sausage King
Regional Heat for their 100% pork sausages and
gourmet sausages. At the State finals at Darling
Harbour Michael's sausages won 4th place in the
whole of the State. They also won the

for Promotion and Innovative Products awarded
by the Australian Meat Industry Council. The award
was for the whole of Regional NSW. Michael

is fresh ingredients, patience and care. We take our

selected herbs. The sausages are then left to
cure so that
they develop their full flavour." So for the best

Mountains - head off to M&J's Butchery in Moulder St.

New Wine For Seniors
Some Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains wine
makers who primarily produce Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc
and Pinot Grigio wines have developed a new hybrid
grape thats acts as an anti-diuretic. This
breakthrough in viticulture is expected to reduce the
number of trips that older folk have to make to the
bathroom during the night. The new wine will be
marketed as Pinot More.
